The Vastfontein Agri Ecosystem

We believe that restoring land is key to restoring dignity and livelihoods. Through our agricultural initiatives, Vastfontein trains local landowners and emerging farmers in sustainable, regenerative practices. Our Vision 2035 goal is to equip 100 landowners to establish sustainable agri-businesses that feed families and build local economies.

We link agricultural transformation, ecosystem services, and human well-being by integrating:

• Natural Resources – land, water, waste, sunshine, vegetation, bees
• Human Resources – skilled farmers, retired professionals, entrepreneurs, unemployed and unskilled individuals
• Funding Partners – corporate social investors, foundations, B-BBEE partners, and government agencies

This holistic approach addresses the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, economic, social, and relational needs of the community, making development truly sustainable.
